Better bookmark system needed

It would be nice if, when one imports bookmarks from other browsers, such as Chrome, Edge, etc. that Firefox would be automatically be able to sort out the folders and urls automatically, and eliminate duplicates. In other words, when I import URL's from another browser, if the same URl is not currently bookmarked,  add it to the library: if it already exists, merge it and keep the most recent one.
