Hey!

Would be nice to have an option to start Thunderbird automatically with the system.

Greetings from Germany

Your case sounds like, simply adding thunderbird to your OS autostart list would solve the issu.

Please consult Google on how to do so.

@Ford_PrefectExactly! 😄  I don't a have problem. But It would be nice(!) to have a checkbox, when I'm in settings after install anyway... 😉  and there are people which have to google it indeed.

AND an autostartoption for Firefox is not as useful as for my Mail-Client, but that's already there.

@Ford_PrefectAND I'm putting Thunderbird in Autostart folders for twenty years now.  I don't feel like it anymore. 😂

If Firefox has autostart option, thunderbird should have had it yesterday!

Start silently and use system notifications would be perfect

Is this not an option in your OS, or desktop environment?

@NeeonI agree!

The Thunderbird option "Autostart" with Windows
>>should have "Start Minimized" with a check option !!!

I can autostart it as I've already done from the beginning with TaskSched but....
... never been able to make it start minimized!

start Thunderbird automatically with the system

@Kalle73kw do you mean at power on?  Or at restart of the OS (when Thunderbird is running at restart)?

@wsm @Kalle73kw

What difference does it make?

When W1* starts,
>>>>>it's because I need  my workplace to be ready to use,
W1* updates happen, shi*s happens = Shut-down or Soft-boot is the only way-out
... If I or it>self reboot the desktop,
>>>>>it's because I need my workplace to be ready to use.

And to be operative in the shortest time, I don't need Thunderbird to take half of my screen showing my mails.

For me:
Mails are a secondary priority, toward managing the Customer Orders Process 🤷

( while the phone keeps ringing, with  queued  people waiting for immediate answers )
