It has always been a problem in the past, and until today, it remains one: Thunderbird receives an update, and then several add-ons are automatically deactivated because they are incompatible with the new version.

Users should know in advance if all add-ons are compatible with an upcoming Thunderbird update before the update is installed, and they should have the option to delay or even stop an upcoming update if they choose to do so.

Add-ons are so vitally important and critical for many industries that this kind of prevention must be implemented automatically in Thunderbird to ensure that businesses can continue running their businesses without having to check compatibilities with add-ons.
