Pocket is propaganda

Making moves

Why is literally every suggestion in Mozilla pocket a hard left political position? I know that the people picking these articles out for pocket would be entirely unwilling to acknowledge this criticism, but I'd like to bring it to someone's attention if nothing else. I have used Firefox since 2007, and in that time I've never thought that a browser should have a "service" that you cannot disable that hand picks politically driven opinions to show you every time you start the thing up. I've always thought that programming, machinery, etc, should always function for the thing it was designed to do, no extra features nobody asked for, especially if you can't disable it, and it's not collecting any information (clearly!) to more properly calibrate it's suggestions. Because these ARE the only suggestions. If you did collect any data, you'd be aware that most people do not wish to get their political propaganda from a web browser, of all things. It would be fine if you could turn it off, or tell it you aren't interested in those types of stories, anything other than being bombarded each time you open it with the kinds of articles that have you reeling with a sense of concern that people actually still believe this stuff enough to put it to print. And some of these are really subversive and insulting to the reader's intelligence - very much so on the "please believe it.." side of the spectrum.. The people picking these articles out, are not good for your business, everyone I know used to use Firefox, and now comparatively few do, despite it's superior performance. It's easy to be neutral as a company that makes software, but incredibly difficult to run a good business from behind a severely obvious political bend not partaken in by at least 50 percent of your customers. It's a losing battle and everyone wants every business to go back to doing what it is they actually do, not push narratives - You make good software that people like to use, it shouldn't be difficult to stay in your lane.

Hope you fix the bug, as it's certainly not a feature -Elvis T. [Mozilla user since 2007]
