Вопрос больше не технический (понятно, что легко вернуть яндекс вручную), а политическо-идеологический. Для меня Firefox был чем-то типа Швейцарии в мире интернет-браузеров, нейтральным инструментом, который защищает приватность и свободу слова. А сейчас они лишили себя нейтрального статуса, что очень огорчает.

Суть не в том, что Яндекс можно вернуть как поиск по умолчанию. Суть в том, что Mozilla выпустила целый мини-апдейт, чтобы удалить Yandex и Mail ru из списка поисковых систем по умолчанию.

На моей памяти, это - беспрецедентный шаг от данной компании и очень нехороший звоночек.

Похоже, это уже не те люди, которые писали петицию в защиту Нейтрального Интернета.

From Mozilla's "Manifesto" (and how appropriate is that term?):

"We are committed to an internet that includes all the peoples of the earth — where a person’s demographic characteristics do not determine their online access, opportunities, or quality of experience."

This needs to be edited, because evidently you are committed to an internet which only includes the people you agree with.  This approach will surely not come back to bite you, as it never has throughout history.

If you didn't know, they (their own gov of ukr) has been shelling donbass area for nearly 8 years now (because the new implanted puppet gov is 3leter usa controlled, they support the killing of the local ukrainians who happen to speak russian. Good job mozilla, punish them even more. How dare they. So dumb... If you stand for freedom, defend DPR and the other People's Rep. Because that's what it's about, nwo wants to take over - they don't want more seperate independant countries, instead they want to put every country together under their rule

What diff in comparation with Google/Facebook Ads systems? They "could" collect and send data to own governments. Idk why do you complaining about Yandex personally.

I second this. How can you live with yourself, Mozilla? How is that commitment to an internet that includes all the people of the Earth? Eeh, a big chunk of the planet doesn't belong to the plant or what? Hypocrisy at its best unfortunately. Very upset by this.
