For my own security reasons I don't allow Microsoft Windows or other software installed on my equipment to auto update. Often in the past I would quickly need to get some information the software I'm about the use needs to close to update itself. This brings me to FIREFOX every few days I get banner requesting that I update the browser software. What is wrong with the FIREFOX software that it needs to be updated so often. The programming teams are constantly after an update ask me to try out some new idea or feature they just added. I just want to use FIREFOX as a browser, I don't want its information transmitted to my cellphone or another computer. Turn off the update banner and stop annoying the users.
