reopen a closed tab and it doesn't tell you what you are loading in the address bar until the page has fully loaded.

it is just blank. therefore you cant even do anything like STOP. RELOAD. COPY ADDRESS. PRESS ENTER.

url should be populated, and NEVER wait until a page has loaded to tell you where you're going.

using fake address "abc" to get a timeout. address bar is empty when reopening tab:

That is a strange case because it doesn't seem you would end up in that situation often, but you can file a new bug:

thats just the easiest way i can convey an example. it can happen for any tab the takes a long time to load after reopening. very frustrating if you want to quickly check something or just grab the URL.

Same problem here. Very frustrating in cases when site isn't loading at all. I want to copy URL to try some another means of accessing site (try with proxy or something). But I CAN'T copy URL and have to wait a couple of minutes before Firefox show its "Connection error" page. Only then URL becomes available.
