Smart Window can now help fill forms and watch pages for updates

Hi everyone! Year-end is approaching, and we know how busy this time of year could be: holiday shopping, applying for the next big career move, you name it. We’ve added two new capabilities to the Smart Window beta to help with everyday busywork, like filling out job application forms and keeping an eye out for you on Black Friday sales.

What’s new:

Fill forms faster: Smart Window can use information from tabs you choose, like a professional profile, to suggest entries for supported forms. Click into a form field and look for “Fill from sources.” You choose the sources, review the suggestions and make any changes before hitting “submit.” Smart Window won’t submit the form for you. Watch pages for updates: Type “/watch” in chat to create a task for changes like a price drop or a new job listing. Choose the pages and schedule, then see matches through the Tasks button or desktop notifications. Checks run only while Firefox is open. Details here.

Both of these features are currently available in English in the U.S. and Canada. We’re working to bring them to more regions soon.
