topic Why Firefox on Android replaces the default website player in Discussions

Good evening, I am a user who loves to test all kinds of new things, and that includes browsers. I have always liked Mozilla's philosophy of independence and market standards, including the decision to maintain compatibility with the V2 protocol. However, I encounter an annoying problem when using Firefox, or any browser that uses its engine on Android: it simply replaces my video player on any website, removing the functions of fast-forwarding or rewinding when tapping on the player. I would like to know why this annoying behavior happens and if no modification will be made to solve or mitigate the problem.

@Ledson : might help if you could provide a link to an example website using your video-player, or maybe a screenshot showing the site in a Chromium browser (like Brave) and then in Firefox Android to show the difference

(Remember on iPhone and iPad devices, Firefox, like all browsers, is simply a re-skinned Apple Safari, so any changes made on that platform are enforced by Apple and Mozilla can do nothing to change them)
