Is there any Addon API to query container info and listen to the container change

hi Mozilla team, I'm the developer of Firefox addon Time Tracker - Web Habit Builder. thanks for your work on the container!!

my users want me to support thacking the time of containers as the same as it does on tab groups. so I want to know if you have a plan to add container query via Addon API or other way.

I think you can track the container that the tab is in using the tabs.Tab.cookieStoreId field. More info is available on this support page.

thanks for your answer. it works but I have another question. I noticed that the contextualIdentities permission, which is required to read cookieStoreId, is not available in optional_permissions.

is there any plan to add it to the list. I understand that it’s a sensitive permission. to better protect users’ privacy, I’ll only request it when users want to track time for containers.
