Firefox ideas: per-profile taskbar icon + saved/visited sites toggle on new tab

Hi all, two small ideas that I think would improve the daily Firefox experience:

1. Taskbar icon per profile

I have two Firefox profiles, each with its own shortcut pinned to the Windows taskbar. When I open one of those shortcuts, it does not become active — instead, Firefox opens as a completely separate icon next to the two pinned shortcuts, resulting in three icons on the taskbar at the same time.

It would be great if opening a profile shortcut activates that pinned icon directly, without a separate instance appearing next to it. Bonus: show the profile photo or avatar on the taskbar icon, so you can tell at a glance which profile is open.

2. New tab page shortcuts

On the new tab page, I’d like a simple option in Settings to choose which shortcuts are displayed. I’d suggest three modes:

Combined: a mix of most visited and favorite sites (current default)
Most visited: automatically filled based on browsing history
Favorites: only your saved/bookmarked sites

Right now there’s no easy way to switch between these views.

Both changes seem small, but would significantly improve the experience. Would like to hear if others want this too!
