Need Firefox Add-on expert help: Fix Google Advanced Search screen

I am not a computer expert at all so I wouldn't be able to fix this problem. Recently, Google changed the format of its Advanced Search page that many people use. The new page is horrible compared to what it replaced. Google has been flooded by complaints (just one example https://support.google.com/websearch/thread/431163940?hl=en&sjid=47884786185527375-NA).

Well, some person has created something called a github gist that apparently allows browsers to show the Google Advanced Search page in the coveted old format. Discussion of this github gist created by

I don't know anything about github gist but I was wondering if someone on this Mozilla forum could figure a way to have the github gist made into a reliable, a safe and secure add-on that we could use on Firefox. I think many people would be very grateful if they could use the old Google Advanced Search page format on Firefox. I certainly would.
