In Linux, background updates can't be turned off and sometimes after the update is done, firefox needs to be restarted. It doesn't allow for any web pages to be opened. The hassle is that I have over 50 windows opened at a time and some are private windows. It is a hassle to copy the links and takes up too much of my time.
