Thunderbird verses Better bird considerations on import/export and cross-comparability and latency.

1. I have been using Thunderbird for a while now, I am not content with the export /import capabilities as i get messages saying there are errors and i am unable to import a bad profile.

2. Thunderbird has a lot of latency issues, I have noted that their many users that have complained about the same issues along with those of the export and import issue.

3. Consider prioritizing these issues for mitigating these issues. As i have contributed on couple of times to find that there are more issues. This alienates users to seek either mainstream solutions or alternatives.

4. Create a periodic survey to understand the trends of the key product demands, issues, future enhancements as a feedback mechanism. As enhancements are released, have a button available for contributions if the user is happy with the enhancement. You will receive better results.

5. Establish and a page that covers all products for the with selective product buttons to list the highest rated enhancement a search button for specific products users a looking for and why. This can be shared with developers supporting the platform.

6. If you build a better product, more will come. More will freely give to support the platform.
