As someone who has had Firefox as his default browser since 1.0 (and who is not any kind of tech geek), it has been a huge disappointment this year when I open a new tab in the browser. Previously, I would be presented with perhaps a score of thoughtful, probing, enlightening articles cherry-picked from every corner of the internet, a brain feast that only made me hungrier. That has been replaced by yet another gilded chamber pot full of thoughts puerile and shallow, of the show-off shouts of the loudest, of the self indulgent displays of the wealthiest, and the brain-dead opinions of the famous. Would be nice to have a place where the marketing department is not in charge of the content.
