V 142.0 BUGS!

Firefox V142.0 has a HUGE BUG! Gmail now fails (freezes) when I try to attach a file. If/when this gets fixed, I will turn off updates for Firefox. Is there an easy way to get back to the last version?

Can't reproduce it. What type of file are you trying to attach? Have you closed and restarted Firefox? Rebooted the PC?

Yes to all of the above - restarted and rebooted. File type is not the issue. Gmail freezes as soon as I click the icon to attach a file. This did not occur before the update.

Click on icon, file attachment window pops up, then Gmail freezes.

Does that also happen in Troubleshoot mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/diagnose-firefox-issues-using-troubleshoot-mode)?

I had huge problems running Firefox on YouTube this morning. (10/3/2025 V144.0.2) The tool seems to go out to lunch and nothing works on the tool. No mouse clicks, no keyboard actions. Here I though my extensions broke it. Nope. I disabled all my extensions, and it still locks me out of any activity. Now it is not broken on simple sites. They seem to work OK. It is a hard lock CNTL R does nothing. No extensions work either. The tool is Unusable on YouTube. My WeatherUnderground does not work either.
