Thunderbird (macOS 15.7.1, v140.3.1 ESR)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;The long-standing ability to &lt;EM&gt;hold down the Delete key&lt;/EM&gt; to continuously remove messages has been disabled.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;This was one of Thunderbird’s most practical time-savers when cleaning large folders or reviewing Trash mail.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;The new single-tap-only delete behavior makes large-scale cleanup painfully slow.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please consider restoring a preference in Config Editor to re-enable “continuous delete” for advanced users who need it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;2.
