1. Toggle Sidebar Options

Open the sidebar with Ctrl+Shift+B (Bookmarks) or Ctrl+Shift+H (History).

Check if switching between them makes icons appear.

Right-click the sidebar header → see if "Hide Sidebar" and re-enable fixes it.

🔹 2. Reset Toolbar / Sidebar Customization

Go to Menu (≡) → More tools → Customize Toolbar…

At the bottom, click Restore Defaults.

Restart Firefox and check if sidebar icons reappear.

🔹 3. Check Extensions / Themes

Sometimes a theme or extension breaks the sidebar styling.

Go to Menu → Add-ons and themes (Ctrl+Shift+A).

Temporarily disable custom themes → use the default Light/Dark theme.

Disable sidebar-related extensions (like tab managers, AI sidebar helpers, etc.) and restart.

🔹 4. Refresh Firefox (Soft Reset)

If the above doesn’t work:

In the address bar, type:

about:support

On the right, click Refresh Firefox.
This resets settings and UI customizations but keeps your bookmarks, history, and passwords.

🔹 5. Create a New Profile (Test)

If refreshing doesn’t help:

Go to:

about:profiles

Click Create a New Profile → launch Firefox with it.

If the sidebar works fine here, your old profile’s config is corrupted (you can migrate bookmarks, logins, etc. later).

🔹 6. Check Hardware Acceleration / Graphics

Sometimes graphics acceleration makes UI elements invisible.

Go to Settings → General → Performance.

Uncheck Use recommended performance settings.

Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.

Restart Firefox and test again.

For more information visit my site: https://metakuwaithelps.com/

My Sidebar Experience

My sidebar, when using the new version of it, is still just blank.
Technically, if I hover over the empty looking space, I can see the option to access "other device tabs" and "bookmarks" respectively, as well as one of my extensions being visible, but the sidebar is otherwise just blank/white with no icon indication of there being anything aside from the aforementioned extension

— Noting here that I have disabled the AI assistant (since I have no need for it), but it was present as an option when I hovered over the top side of the bar, just not visible.

I have tried both light and dark themes. I also regularly clear my cache. I've also recently updated to the latest Mozilla browser version. My sidebar is on the left side in the attached photo.

This sounds like a UI rendering bug in the new sidebar update, especially since the hover functions still work but icons and layout are not loading properly.

A few things you can try that often fix this:

Turn the sidebar off and back on in settings

Disable all extensions temporarily (then re-enable one by one)

Refresh the browser with “Hard Reload” (Ctrl + Shift + R)

Check about:config for sidebar-related settings reset

Create a new Firefox profile to test if it’s profile corruption

Try toggling hardware acceleration off in performance settings

Since you already updated Firefox and cleared cache, it does sound more like a profile/UI rendering issue than a theme problem.

If it continues, reporting it as a bug to Mozilla would be the best step.

For more tech and gaming-related updates, you can also check 777game
