Glad to see I'm now the only one experiencing annoying performance issues on Facebook.

Sometimes, when typing a message, there is a 5 second delay betweehn my keypress and the actual character showing up. You can't possibly imagine how bothering is trying to compose a message like that.

Luckily, those issues were mostly gone after I switched from Adblock Plus to the AdGuard Adblocker.

A prominent incompatibility/performance warning should be displayed before the user downloads bugged extensions like Adblock Plus.

Very laggy and using very high resources when on facebook. Lag and resource hog drops if I switch to another tab or close FB tab. No problem with FB on chrome or edge. This just started most likely with last update.

It sounds like a recent Firefox update might be causing compatibility issues with Facebook. Here are a few steps that may help:

Clear Cache and Cookies – Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data and clear data for Facebook to reset any potentially problematic settings.

Disable Hardware Acceleration – In Firefox, go to Settings > General and uncheck Use recommended performance settings and Use hardware acceleration when available. This can reduce lag and resource usage.

Check for Add-ons or Extensions – Some add-ons might be causing conflicts. Try disabling them temporarily by going to Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) to see if that improves performance.

Try Firefox Troubleshoot Mode – Go to Help > Troubleshoot Mode to start Firefox with default settings and see if the problem persists. This helps identify if any custom settings are causing the issue.

Update Graphics Drivers – If there are any graphics driver updates available for your system, installing them might help with performance.

If the problem continues, you could also consider using Chrome or Edge for Facebook until the next Firefox update, as this may be a temporary issue or otherwise you can check details : https://dooflixapk.info/.

I also came here to report issues with Facebook. On my two computers that use current version of FF, Facebook is practically unusable now. It's been this way for a few weeks, progressively getting worse, even after updates. Unusable means that pages take a long time to load (circle spins for a while when loading), and typing is so slow that you can't finish a sentence. Meanwhile, Chrome, on these same computers are fine. And on my older laptops, once using the current ESR, and another that is using a much older version, Facebook still works fine. So, I assume the problem is with the latest updates where something is clearly conflicting and slowing down the functionality. The Hardware Accel suggestion has never made any difference with issues ever. Restarting, clearing cache, etc make no difference. I haven't tried FF Safe Mode recently, so I can try that, but, again, I have all of the same extensions on all versions, and only the newer versions are having this issue. Hope it can be fixed soon. I prefer FF.

Ok what I have figured out: In safe mode FB works good. I then went back to normal mode turned off all extensions and tried turning them on one at a time. Adblock Plus - free ad blocker version 4.9 with FF is causing the issue. Chrome also has Adblock Plus - free ad blocker version 4.9 and FB works good with it turned on. So looks like to me it is the latest update (132.0.1 - 64-bit) that has cause a conflict with Adblock Plus - free ad blocker version 4.9 and FB.

If you are using Adblock Plus - free ad blocker version 4.9 turn it off for FB.com and that will clear it up. see my reply to MJesup
