I initially went GRRRRR MOZILLA, but no this is on Amazon. Amazed they let Fakespot run for so long, really. Notice how you have to sign in to read reviews now? No more review analysing outside the walled garden.

As a longtime Firefox user, I’m incredibly frustrated that Mozilla removed the built-in review checker (Fakespot) without offering a proper replacement. It was one of the few tools helping users cut through fake product reviews on Amazon and other sites.

Privacy-respecting users now have no viable alternative. This decision feels like a betrayal of what Firefox once stood for — simplicity, user advocacy, and trust.

If Mozilla continues down this path, I will sadly have to leave Firefox after years of loyalty.

I mean, Mozilla really needs to focus on the browser now more than ever.

I know how you feel, however, as I used Fakespot as well.

Hey, I totally get your frustration — I built FakeFind.ai for this exact reason. When Mozilla dropped Fakespot, it left a big hole for anyone who relied on it to cut through fake Amazon reviews.

FakeFind is an Amazon review checker that works right in Firefox — no extension, no account, just paste the product link. It analyzes the reviews with AI and gives a Trust Score, Adjusted Rating, and a quick summary so you can see what’s real before you buy.

It’s free, privacy-friendly, and meant to be a straightforward alternative for people who miss what Fakespot offered.
