topic FF Nightly 142.0a1 (2025-07-05) (64-bit) tab group behavior in Discussions

I really appreciate the tab group feature. I have 4 tab groups with 3-4 tabs in each group. It make a huge difference when I'm on my lap top and I'm switching back and forth between sites. A few days ago (I'm sorry I can't be more specific) I started noticing a different tab group behavior.

When FF starts up, all groups are collapsed with a new blank start page, which is normal and what I have it set up to do. When I open up a group to access a tab under that heading the group doesn't fully collapse when I close it. The last tab I was accessing stays in view and doesn't get hidden beneath the group header. If I open a new blank start page, the formerly exposed tab will collapse into the proper group. Something similar also happens when I go to another group and check one of the tabs there. The formerly exposed tab collapses properly when the new group opens and I click one of the tabs in this group. But the last tab I accessed in that group remains in view and doesn't collapse.

You should expect things to break regularly in Nightly. You also should report it as a possible [bug](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi/). If you do, please post the link to it here.
