Firefox search with search engines made slower and slower

Originally you could enter text and just click the search engine to search with. This was the fastest possible option - 2 steps.

Then they decided to make it slower by having to search, then click the search engine, then enter. I don't know why they did this as it helped no one - 3 steps.

Now it's been slowed up even more. Now you have to search, click drop down, click search choice, then enter - 4 steps.

Why are they doing this? It's annoying and slows down productivity.

Thanks, he used almost the exact same language as I did! This proves that it's obviously going to annoy people so it's just deliberate trolling.
