The download dropdown box

I find it annoying that when I download multiple files the download drop-down box always gets in my way. Unfortunately I have to go into the config file to change this behaviour. When I type about:config it gives me warnings about changing stuff in the config file that might make Firefox unusable. Such a basic request should be in the settings file under downloads to make sure the config file doesn't get screwed up.
