Junk emails no longer marked read

In Thunderbird since about 3 months ago my junk emails are no longer 'un-bolded' permanently when I have read them. I do check and read some of them periodically and I need to know where I have got to. They all go back to unread if I move to Inbox and back. Please can I have the old system back?

As it's something that has changed, you could report it as a possible bug at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi/.

Indeed - but I was curious that no one else seems to have noticed or thought it a problem?

Does that also happen in [Troubleshoot mode](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird)?

Thanks - interesting, I didn't know about Troubleshoot Mode, but before that can we establish if it is just me, or a general problem. How does your Junk folder behave?

Maybe just you; mine behaves normally (stays un-bolded after moving to Inbox and back to Junk) and I haven't heard of that problem on other sites I do support for.
