Ive got the same issue with linux mint. im not sure what triggers it but bloated sites like aliexpress suddenly freeze firefox. it offers the kill the process but if I choose to wait and give it a few minutes the browser functionality usually returns; sometimes im not so patient.

<LI-CODE lang="markup">mint:~$ inxi -Fxxxzr

I concurs. Firefox build 137.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 11 is a disaster:

Startup with 1.2 GB of RAM, one tab open, and all add-ons disabled

Makes my PC very slow even for other apps, as it's using up a lot of system resources

I did all the usual, clearing cache, disabling all extensions and themes, and it's still have the same behaviour

Need a very quick update. I'm using Edge for now, until there's a fix for FireFox

I confirm, version 137.0.2 is a disaster. It has already cleared the settings a dozen or so times. After restarting, all plugins, settings, bookmarks, synchronization, etc. have to be configured again. And this has happened several times in the last few days.

Last week, Firefox has been automatically upgraded to version 137.0.2 (64 bit) on my Win 11 business laptop. Since that moment indeed, browsing has almost become impossible: it is awfully slow and CPU intensive. Refreshing Firefox and clearing the cookies/data cache did not help...
