The Geek Squad @ Best Buy tried for almost 2 hours to fix my Firefox issue to no avail. He indicated that unfortunately there was no network compatibility between the Firefox browser and the MAC OS version Sequoia 15.4 hence unable to fix the Firefox issue. So until Firefox comes up with an update, the browser will not function properly.

I have therefore switched my browser on my Mac to Safari which works just fine. I should also mention that Firefox works just fine on my Android cell phone so this compatibility is between Firefox and Apple.

Carin Rundle

I'm getting the same behavior. I deleted everything (app, prefs, profiles, etc.) and did a new install (several times). Each time it launches works for the first 10 seconds then hangs searching for update.

Isn't it rather related to the Firefox update?
I'm noticing similar behaviour, but I'm still on Sonoma 14.7.1 and Chrome seems to work fine when loading the same pages. Also in Firefox they're loaded if tried a few minutes later. (But the new ones break again.)

That is possible. I updated both the OS and Firefox recently. Chrome and Safari work well. Firefox only launches and freezes.
