You have been blocked - Etsy

About 3 days ago, I started to be denied access to Etsy and a couple of other sites, I am assuming use some sort of security software that is mis-detecting Firefox in some way. The error I get (see attached file) is telling me there is a robot on my network (which there is not), that I am browsing or clicking at a speed much faster than expected of a human. Or, something is preventing JavaScript from working on my computer. I don't get this with any other web browser - just Firefox. Any ideas how to fix this?

I'm having the same issue with Etsy suddenly! Started yesterday. I went to contact support but it blocked me there also!

I'm having the same issue with Etsy and also with the verify you're a human when I try to order food delivery with Olo. If I switch to another browser it's fine

I am another user having the same issue. Access blocked on Etsy. But only with Firefox. Etsy works fine with Chrome.

It seemed to be fixed the last couple of days, but now back to "You've Been Blocked". I reported this to Firefox, they told me to do all the regular "stuff", which I told them I already had done (cleared cache/cookies/history). Told them I am not the only one. To read on this forum that many others are having the same issue with several websites, not just Etsy. Firefox needs to fix their security protocols.

I’m also encountering the same issue with Firefox being blocked on sites like Etsy. I keep getting flagged as if I’m a bot even though everything works fine on other browsers. JavaScript is enabled, but the error still shows up. Following this thread to see if a solution comes up.

I’m running into the same problem where Firefox keeps getting blocked on sites like Etsy. It repeatedly flags my activity as bot-like, even though everything works normally in other browsers. JavaScript is enabled on my end, but the error still appears. I’m following this discussion in hopes that someone shares a fix.

My problem had to do with Cloudflare, the security bot that Etsy and lots of sites use to verify that you are human. I'm sorry that I don't remember the fix, but we did get back on its whitelist and working again. I hope narrowing down the cause helps you.

Three months since the last reply the "temporary restriction" still persists. I can't search for anything on Etsy unless I change browser or disable my adblocker (which is the main goal of them, I guess).
