video playback weirdness with Firefox

I recently got a new Lenovo laptop equipped with Windows 11 Pro. When I open a video with the Firefox browser, it usually starts fine then quickly defaults to a screen of scattered pixel-like (but not pixelated) images. Image attached. The audio is fine. What's the problem and the fix?

Same here, also Lenovo (X1 Yoga 2-in-1 Gen9), current Firefox, Win11 Enterprise 23H2. It seems that it can sometimes be solved by switching the video from a higher to a lower resolution.
