url adding ?sclient=gws-wiz-serp in google search

When I type something in google and end it with a question mark, I get sclient=gws-wiz-serp added to the search. For example, I type: msi mpg 271qrx vs lg 27gs95qe-b?

but what I get is msi mpg 271qrx vs lg 27gs95qe-b?sclient=gws-wiz-serp

Why is this happening? It is so annoying!

This is an issue caused by the ClearURLs add-on that will need their authors to fix it.

As a work around, you can disable the add-on, or perform your search directly from the address bar in Firefox.

For my (GitHub) use case, there's a workaround that does not require me to disable the extension.
