topic Reduce Firefox For Android App Size in Discussions

I am a long-time user of Firefox on mobile and appreciate its focus on privacy and open-source nature. However, I am increasingly concerned about the growing size of the Firefox mobile app.
On my device, the Firefox app currently consumes 377 MB of storage space. This significantly impacts my device's performance, especially as I have limited storage capacity. The large app size leads to slower app loading times, reduced overall device speed, and occasional app crashes.
I have observed that other mobile browsers, such as Brave, manage to offer comparable features with a significantly smaller app size (Brave's current size is around 82MB, while Firefox is much larger). This indicates that there might be room for optimization in Firefox's code and resource management.
A smaller app size would greatly benefit users with low-end devices or limited storage. It would also improve download speeds and reduce data consumption. I believe optimizing the app size should be a priority for Mozilla to ensure a better user experience for everyone.
I kindly request the Mozilla team to consider this feedback and prioritize reducing the Firefox mobile app size in future updates. I am confident that with optimization, Firefox can maintain its rich features while becoming more lightweight and efficient.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

Mohiul Islam
