Yes, I've read the vapid little two paragraph article that suggests I delete and add FF to trusted apps in my firewall. My FW allows all traffic on all ports for FF. And are we supposed to do this every freaking time? Pathetic. Changing proxy settings (another stupid idea) 10 times and restarting used to work but doesn't. So I ended up resetting FF and lost all my extensions. Adding them back hasn't worked. They're not visible. The other stupid idea from the brainless FF crew is to rename the extensions registry. No joy. A long, long time ago in a universe far, far away, FF was a reliable browser. Now it's as buggy as any Microsoft or Android piece of caca software running a million lines of buggy code. I'm uninstalling it and going over to the Dark Side with Chrome.

It sounds frustrating—here are a few other things to try before switching:

Refresh Firefox – This restores default settings without losing bookmarks or history. Go to Help > More Troubleshooting Information and click Refresh Firefox.
Check Profile Folder – Corrupt profile data can cause hangs. Close Firefox, then in the Run box (Win+R) type firefox.exe -P to create a new profile or switch to a different one.
Reinstall with Profile Backup – Uninstall Firefox, then reinstall. First, back up your profile folder by copying it from C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. After reinstalling, paste your profile folder back.
Try Firefox ESR Version – This version has fewer updates and might be more stable.

Thanks for your suggestions, but I've already switched to Chrome and it's running great. Using DuckDuckGo for search. All bookmarks in place. Cleaner and faster. It's nice not having to use kludgy software. If it was a Windows problem, I'd be stuck with fixing it. 😀

Chrome is also a good choice. It’s really annoying when things stop working after an update, especially when you've tried all the suggested fixes without success. I was facing a similar issue myself, using calculadoradediasfechasanos.com. It would just hang or fail to load, which made it even more aggravating. Then i tried Firefox ESR Version, and its working fine, after that i reinstall it and everything was perfect.

Yeah, that’s seriously frustrating. After so many fixes and still no solution, anyone would think about switching. Feels like the effort vs. result just isn’t balancing out — kind of like checking fruit box values and realizing the trade isn’t worth it.
