Longtime user (since before it was called Firefox) here, finally writing in about a behavior that's been bothering me for a while.

When I'm filling in a form on Firefox, the autocomplete (autofill) options are helpful. But when I select one, it also fills in values in other form fields, sometimes ones that I've already intentionally left blank, or intentionally want to have a different value (e.g., home address vs work address). And it's unpredictable which fields it'll fill in. This is probably particularly error-prone for users with screen readers or large text zoom, since Firefox will make edits on fields that are far out of sight.

The UX includes some good patches, like the yellow highlights on the fields and the "Also autofills name, phone, ..." hint. But it still feels like I'm not in control. I want it to only fill in one field at a time.

Is there a way to control that behavior without disabling autofill entirely?
