I really can get into the new design. I don't even know, if it was a mistake by myself and I messed up the whole interface or if it was by the update.

But please don't let this happen:

Missing the new tab button, reload button and the placemant for the back and forth arrows is awfull.

Maybe it make sense in mobile mode but for me on desktop this would be a reason to change to another browser.

Is there a option to change the layout?

Yes, you can restore the button positions where they used to be placed and expect them with "Customise Toolbar". Too bad you have to do this for the new tab button every single time you restart Firefox Dev (132.0b9). Apparently, you need to reset the toolbars to default and rearrange as wished after the reset to make it stick again: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1919721#c61
