Since this version, Firefox crash randomly, but without an report error or something.. simply unexpected close like how you manually close the browser.. and when i open again, take over the websites i have been last time on. And this happened everytime once with v130.0.1.

Does anyone have met with this problem too?

I'm having the exact same problem in addition to pages taking forever to load or only loading halfway. My Chrome works fine in comparison, so it's not my Internet. When I've had crashes in the past, I've usually been able to deduce what the issue was (e.g. memory-heavy tab among a bunch of other tabs, broken extension, etc.). Now I have no idea because it's so random.

Same here. Since I got updated to 130.0.1, browser has memory leaks. It's also very slow to open and even slower to load webpages. This version shouldn't be "Stable" release...

I'm having the same problem on my wife's computer. Can rarely make it through a YouTube vid. It has been going on for 2 days now (starting 9/28/24) despite the last browser update being on 9/19/24. I cannot yet confirm if the problem persists while browsing only. I have disabled add-ons with no improvement. I have submitted multiple crash reports successfully on that computer.

I start thinking similarly at first. I usually reign myself in though because time has more-often-than not proven it to be an update issue. All these companies forcing rapid updates and making the community the beta testers has made this more true than ever these days.

I did just update the Bios for my motherboard X570 Chrosshair VIII Hero bios 4902 before I started experiencing this. Is it just a coincidence? I wonder.

Yes!For me it started about 28 hours ago. I've spent most of the day checking settings, router, Windows 11 updates, Mozilla notes and nothing has helped. I have one pinned tab and just 3 open tabs and everything is very slow, YouTube is buffering constantly and stops after about 18 seconds and takes minutes to get going again. It also has switched quality to auto at 144p instead of the usual 1080 HD. As far as I recall, I installed the latest v130.0.1 about 18 hours before the trouble started. I think the only remedy will be another update.

Really grim.

The app bar image of firefox on mine is now neverending flow even when nothing is loading, so something is happening in the background that shouldn't be happening. Perhaps that is what everybody is experiencing and why some are crashing. I have 48GB of ram and it is using 20% of that or almost 10gbs which would slow down or stop many systems. Mozilla, are you listening? This is th 130.1 version.

I’ve been experiencing similar random crashes with Firefox since version 130.0.1, and it’s frustrating! It just closes unexpectedly without any error message. I hope there’s a fix soon. On a different note, I recently discovered Top Follow Apk Unlimited Coins, which have been great for boosting engagement on social media. It’s interesting how tech issues can pop up while exploring new apps!

Same here.....Firefox 131 at least gives me the tab that "firefox has crashed". It always happens when I have multiple tabs open. I suspected that Youtube implemented something fishy that crashes beacause Adblock.....but it's not the case (Youtube only crashes firefox more frequently), it can crash only with Facebook and Messenger open.
I observed that the crashes happen when a video is loaded or is trying to load (can be Messenger or Youtube).
The crashes are random....I can have 10 video tabs open and nothing happens, the other time it crashes after 5 minutes of watching a single video in a tab.

BTW.....It also crashed when I clicked a form page to complete it.

I did a malware scan using multiple thrustworty sites, nothing is fishy. The crases started happening from one firefox update to another.

I use firefox since I have internet (I think since 2007), it's my main browser (I also have other browsers installed, but firefox is what I use daily).
Sadly, it became pretty annoying that I can't use it anymore for my daily activities without crashing.

In my case, it got significantly worse with 131. I think there were some crashes and instability with 130, but it's become a multiple times a day thing with 131.

Downgrading firefox is a pain, but it can be done. Uninstall, reboot, install older version, make new profile by pointing at old folder. I found some info on how to do it but it did involve a bit of trial and error. Be much easier if it was fixed!

I would agree if the bsod would happen while other ocassions than using firefox. But it doesn't. I can play pc games that heavy stress on both cpu and gpu and bsod doesn't happen. I also does not have cursed 13th and 14th gen intel cpus. BSOD happen only during using firefox.

Thanks for asking, no I did not change any of the Windows settings. Your correct, I went into Firefox cache to settings and then Manage Cookies and Site Data. Selected the one website that would not display and deleted that one item. Did not delete all items in the list...I had done that before and it's painful because you have to log into all sites. Anyway after deleting that one website that would not display, closed out of that box and then out settings. Closed Firefox and rebooted the computer and then opened Firefox. All of a sudden everything was working, no problem with webpages. Hope that helps, good luck.

Well here we are at Christmas & version 133.0.3, at least 6 months of sending in crash reports, and still getting random crashes. Unlike others, I've not had any performance problems while browsing regardless of the site, and in fact is usually crashes while I'm away from the computer. However, it's still happening to my Win10 system and I spoke too soon... it crashed while I was reading the other posts!

Hi Marko,

Try reinstalling windows. I don't know how is the situation on my old PC which my brother is currently using, and I 've experienced **bleep** load of crashes on it when it all started. But I have new PC for almost 2 months and not a single crash occured for me.

Basically, ever since version 134, (maybe even before), Firefox has become the biggest memory hog of any browser for me. (I am running Kubuntu 22.04.4 on an older system.). At first You Tube will work OK. But the longer I have it up, the more memory gets allocated and the slower it allows me to type a comment. Eventually, each keystroke takes several seconds until finally I can no longer type at all. On version 136 and 137, my eTrade links don't always load, and sometime it just freezes and fails to refresh. This DOES NOT HAPPEN ON CHROME. I hate having Google all up in my business, but if Firefox doesn't do a radical improvement in memory and processor efficiency and guard against You Tube's runaway resource allocation, I will have to bow down to the behemoth and use Chrome. Does anyone else have a better, more private alternative that works as well on most sites? Chrome is very disengenuous when they talk about privacy. They try to keep OTHER sites from gleaning your information, all they while they are raping you from the backdoor.

For popular easy to use solution is Brave. For little more complex solution is TOR browser with VPN connection as you don't want someone doing shady stuff that would surface through your pc/ip... Nothing else left mate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JNg4Ox2Hvc
