Why Thunderbird is copying messages twice in sent folder?

For every message sent, Thunderbird is copying messages twice in sent folder. Just doesn't make sense.

Since no response and lack of support I uninstalled thunderbird and gone back to Outlook unfortunately!

If, Place a copy in: box checked, then 2 messages in Sent1 message received

Copies & Folders panel
If, Place a copy in: box unchecked, then 1 message in Sent
1 message received

THUNDERBIRD, I just don't know what to do anymore, the messages repeated so many times? I need my drafts. I don't want to remove them, please can someone help? Thank you!!
