Since then, the scroll wheel on my MS Mouse 5000 has become frustratingly laggy - not only for browsing, but also for apps like MS Outlook, etc. I've tried adjusting the I rolled back to G6.0.14 and it seems that the previous and expected scroll wheel function returned. I have tried adjusting the vertical scroll lines and speeds to no avail. Additionally, I've run the following Win10 commands without benefit.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /scannow

I've also tried updating my mouse & keyboard drivers - again without benefit. Any ideas? For the moment, I'm sticking with Waterfox G6.0.14.

Windows version: Win 10 Pro version 22H2, OS Build 19045.4593

Mouse & Keyboard Models:

Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000: Model 1387

Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 5050: Model 1728
