I cannot log into any of my secure accounts (bank, credit cards etc) anymore. It says I have to update the firefox browser but it is already updated. When I click there it say...already updated. If this isn't resolved in a week, I will have to stop using firefox and use another browser which I am using in the interim. There is a glitch that needs to be handled.

This could be a problem with how your browser is identifying itself (the user agent string). Some scenarios:

(1) Turning on privacy.resistFingerprinting in `about:config` will cause Firefox to report its version as the last Extended Support Release version (Firefox 91)

(2) Avast AntiTrack and AVG AntiTrack add some gibberish after the Firefox version which sites have trouble understanding. For example: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1366128

I have a diagnostic page that lets you see how the server receives your user agent string -- it appears in red on this page: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/jstest.php

For me (Windows 10), it shows: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0

Look in your extension if you don't have one replacing the firefox number version .

An extension like that : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/user-agent-string-switcher/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search
