Firefox crashes with youtube videos

Firefox often crashes if I have 3 -4 tabs open with youtube videos. Why might this be? Youtube in general seems to be a nemisis to firefox. Any thoughts? Running Mac OSX 11.7.6 (Big Sur), thx

Addidional nemises include X, Facebook & Rumble. My computer actually turns OFF. And if it doesn't turn off, after a few minutes, I have no sound or the video freezes. This doesn't happen on other browsers or on videos I play straight from my pc. It's really annoying.

I have the same issue. It got so bad that I had to move to Edge
