topic THUNDERBIRD - bring back Command-1 (for the Mac, not sure what it would be on other systems) in Discussions

One of the more recent updates to Thunderbird disappeared the command-1 option (the one which brings the app to the front of the computer). I can't tell you how many times I still attempt that - it's a key part of muscle memory and it's just plain dumb to have to go up to the WINDOW option with the cursor to bring the app to the foreground.

Please restore that option with the next update!

I'm not sure that has ever been the case. My understanding of Mac (and experience on it) is that command-1 by default switches display to the first tab of the foreground application. For example Safari. I don't foresee Thunderbird offering to change that behavior.

Perhaps you had change command-1to focus a specific app via an app, or had customized Mac system settings?
