When I reply to a msg, text copied from the same msg replaces original msg

I have version 115.5.0.

I'm not sure what I encountered is a bug or a feature! 🙂

Here's what happens: I open a message that I want to reply to. Then I copy some text from the message. Then I click on the Reply (Reply All) button. I just want to embed the copied text in my reply. But I see that the copied text has already replaced the entire original text . 😄

I assume this is a bug since the original text in the message has disappeared!!
