yup. Our IT department just uninstalled & blocked further installations of FF for this reason.

Just off the top of my head, Firefox doesn't work with target.com, Key Bank, and - can you believe this - the US Postal Service website.

I have used Firefox exclusively for near 10-12 years now. Of late I am finding website compatibility issues and they seem to be happening more frequently. I know this is a moving target, but when I cannot rely on your browser to complete the task at hand, I will have to switch. I am getting warnings on many government website about preferred browsers, although I have not had many bad experiences. Recently at Middleby Residential website (parts for home appliances) https://parts.middlebyresidential.com/Clients/CustomPage.aspx?page=/Viking/index.html

I had to switch to Edge to complete an order and search process. Thanks for a great product, but maybe you could create an easy way for users to ID websites your tools doesn't work well with.

3 years after this post, and we are still having compatibility issues. WE WANT TO USE FIREFOX! Please do not give us a reason to open another browser! I hate Chrome, yet I must use it sometimes when firefox wont open an item. Many video sites wont play videos on firefox, and sometimes when I fill out job applications, firefox wont open some links. Please tell me this is being looked in to. Dont give us a reason to use your younger brother (chrome)...

The problem is becoming worse. I really don't want to leave Firefox, but there is something that is blocking it smooth use with a growing number of websites. When they include my bank and CRA, it becomes significant.

This is why Mozilla should consider picking up the Servo Project again. The longer they stick with the outdated Gecko engine, the worse things will get in the long run. Mozilla needs to make a smart move and collaborate with Igalia https://www.igalia.com/ and the Linux Foundation https://www.linuxfoundation.org/. Together, they could get Servo in a much better state, making it stronger, faster, and more mature. They should gut the Gecko engine from Firefox and replace it with Servo.

Remember, Gecko has been around since 1998, which is a long time for a codebase that isn’t based on an operating system or kernel. Development on Servo started in 2012 and ended in 2020 when Mozilla let the whole team go. They shouldn’t have done that, they should bring them back. If they can’t fully bring them back, they should put less important stuff, like AI, on the back burner and focus on what really matters: Firefox and Servo.

This is why I think Mozilla should consider modernizing their codebase so gut out Gecko for Servo.

I have to agree with Rick. Some banks and other financial sites do not support Firefox.

Also, when making some online purchases, it is infuriating to get right to the payment card details page and the site will then not accept payment. Switching to another browser lets the payment go through perfectly.

Safari is much better in that respect.
