Firefox just updated to v118.0

Downloads are set to "Always ask you where to save files"

After selecting "save file" the dialogue box to select the folder either doesn't appear or flashes open for an instant.

Firefox then freezes, unable to switch tabs, open menus or close. Only way to close is to End Task.

A .part file appears in the default Downloads folder.

I have cleared the start-up cache and done a system restart.

Operating system is Windows 10 Home 22H2 build 19045.3448

Is this a Firefox bug? Is there any solution I can implement?

Tim

Update.

Using Windows key + right arrow forces the dialogue box visible to allow the download to be started.

Basically this is a problem with how the dialogue box displays. This may be a Microsoft problem not a Firefox problem, because I have seen posts on other forums that discuss the same issue occurring with other apps.

Tim
