Currently there is one way to do it: set privacy.resistFingerprinting to true and privacy.window.maxInnerWidth/maxInnerHeight to a desired resolution

But resistFingerprinting is annoying too because it blocks QR code images and ask for permission

This feature is important to many people. Sometimes we use the browser to view articles and papers, then we put windows at the edge of the screen, or resize windows to a good scale for reading. However, the next time when we open the browser, the window size is always annoying since it is recovered from lastly opened window. What is the purpose to recover window size at startup? It gives me lots of trouble at least. I am on a wide screen such that opening many windows is common to me. Then I have to rescale the window, again and again
