Is that really necessary? Afaik no languages use the arrow keys for alternate characters. Chrome uses the right alt and arrow keys to go forward and back.
Also is there a way to change this behavior? My Windows and Firefox languages are English (US) it still won't go back using the right alt. The Keyboard is a US Qwerty keyboard.

Go back for one page shortcut is Alt+Left arrow but only one Alt key (On the left side one) works, other Alt key (that is on the right side of the keyboard) does not work.

On a U.S. English QWERTY layout keyboard, both Alt keys work the same for me. However, this may not apply to other languages/locales where the right Alt key activates alternate characters ("AltGr" or "Alt Gr").
