Primary Password recovery

I recently started using Firefox, created a Primary Password on a new computer, and didn't change it. But now when it asks endlessly for the password it doesn't recognize it. Not sure what happened, but it used to work, now it doesn't. Big question: how do you recover the Primary Password, there doesn't seem an obvious way to reset it? Thanks

I don't know the answer but do be aware that resetting the password might wipe all your data. Got a new computer like you, the password I thought was right didn't work, reset it and wa la all my stuff is gone.

Thanks. I did reset it and did lose my saved passwords, etc, but redoing them was likely going to take far less time than trying to figure out a solution. I'm very surprised it's not fixed by now.
